Access Noosa
sunshine coast access guide
4.5 Star RACQ Rating.
16 Noosa Drive,
Noosa Heads, Queensland 4567 Australia.
The prestige Noosa Blue resort commands a prime hilltop position with magnificent hinterland and Noosa coastal views just 450 metres from Main Beach, the shops and restaurants on famous Hastings Street. The luxury, air-conditioned 1 bedroom suites are well appointed and have been designed with access in mind.

Noosa Blue has three wheelchair accessible apartments (numbers 116, 210 and 211) with good access around the resort and guest facilities. Number 211 has a sunny outlook, 201 is close to all amenities and 116 is more spacious.
Each apartment features plaster walls in vibrant hues, crosscut travertine easy mobility stone floors in all areas, lightweight cedar shutters and a lanai (enclosed verandah) with sliding glass doors, creating a spacious environment with plenty of room to move around.
The resort offers complimentary secure undercover parking with wide parking bays (3200 mm) available for people using wheelchairs. There is a lift from the car park (to all levels of the resort) which accommodates one wheelchair or a three wheel scooter. If you use a larger scooter please contact the resort to check dimensions. The lift also has Braille signage to assist people with vision impairment.
The living area includes a lounge and entertainment area with remote controlled stereo, video and television. If required some items of furniture (eg rug, coffee table) can be moved or taken out to provide extra space.
There is an enclosed balcony off the living room that can be opened up to provide an indoor-outdoor ambience.
The kitchen design and appliances have been carefully chosen to maximise independence, including:
A licensed ebb bar/bistro serving modern Australian cuisine and fully equipped fitness centre are among the indulgences available and both are accessible. Noosa Blue also offers an accessible state-of-the-art conference and function centre.
The outdoor heated pool has shady areas for guests to relax. However currently the only way into the water is by three steps (no rail).
In general the resort offers a high level of access and most facilities can be used by people in wheelchairs or with limited mobility. Currently the only access into the pool is via steps (without a rail). The lift is compact and four wheeled scooters may not fit in, so it is advisable to check dimensions first.
Hastings Street and Noosa Beach are down hill from the resort. The pedestrian pathway is steep and may be difficult for people with a disability. Alternatively, accessible parking is available at the beach. There is also a local bus stop outside Noosa Blue (bus has two steps to enter).
$198 - $390 per night
The developer's concept for Noosa Blue was to create a living work of art and bring to life the inspiring thoughts of Mexico's most revered architect, Ricardo Legorreta. The unique Noosa Look is reflected in the imaginative use of space, natural materials, colour and original artworks, which are their own source of pleasure.

We look forward to providing your every wish when you "resort to indulgence" at Noosa Blue.
